Individualist showcases their tribal roots with the release of their brand new EP, WaWaNe.
The six-track EP showcases the Detroit duo’s vast spanning production abilities and varied influences. Title track “WaWaNe” starts off on a calm and positive note; subtle guitar strums line a cool deep house beat while African-inspired vocals lay pretty on top. The producers kindly include an instrumental version of the single as well.
Fka Mash and and Tahir Jones provide their afro glitch and dub influences, respectively, into two memorable remixes to round out the collection. Finally, “The Door,” which comes paired with a dub from Fka Mash as well, offers powerful instrumentation, shaking tambourines and floating melodies.
