Premiere: Lady Starlight ‘d5-12’

This year marks the 15th anniversary of Len Faki’s revered techno label, Figure. To mark the occasion, and the label’s 100th release, there is a brand new compilation set to drop on 17th September featuring a host of brand new tracks from across their roster.

Artists featured on ‘Figure 100’ include Setoac Mass, Truncate, Amotik and more, including Faki himself of course. Below, we’re premiering the contribution from techno polymath and Surgeon affiliate, Lady Starlight.

‘d5-12’ is the first new music we’ve heard from the New York-based artist since her ‘Which One Of Us Is Me?’ EP from January this year, also release on Figure. The track is a coarse, quick and sorching techno banger that rests easy in both the Lady Starlight and Figure ouvre. Pure demolition for vast, dark club floors.

The compilation comes paired with a very neat exclusive artwork by Munich-based artist Julia Schewalie who made it entirely out of rearranged chopped fragments of old Figure records.

‘Figure 100’ will also be celebrated with a series of tour dates around Europe with artists who feature on the comp.
