Plant43 will release a new EP, ‘Remote Signals’, this month. Listen to ‘Searching For Skies’ below.
The UK electro stalwart’s latest three-tracker is a testament to his devotion to the form. Mechanised beats, sci-fi synths and drexciyan atmospheres pull lovingly from the genre’s canon, and coalesce into an offering that feels emotive and cinematic, but perfectly tuned for dark dancefloors.
The pieces were written as part of two live shows he played this summer: The Crave festival in The Hague and Tresor Berlin’s Globus stage. Their triumphant melodies and bold bass plumes emanate a loose, freeing feel that embodies the producer’s delight to be playing shows once again after a long two years of lockdowns. “After more than two years away from playing live, hearing from The Crave Festival and Tresor in early summer ’22 was like a light appearing at the end of the tunnel. I jumped at the chance and began rapidly writing new material,” he said.
He continued: “There’s often a long gap between writing and releasing new music and so I put Remote Signals right to the top of the Plant43 Recordings release schedule to capture the spontaneity and excitement of the unforgettable experience of performing my music to an audience again.”
‘Remote Signals’ will be released on 17th October. Pre-order it here.
