Michael Bibi will bring his ‘One Life’ tour to Ushuaïa Ibiza this summer.
Announced yesterday (24th May) via social media, the one-off show will mark the British DJ and producer’s first on the White Isle since announcing he was cancer-free. Bibi will be joined by a specially curated selection of guests on Friday 20th September for a “celebration of life, music and community.”
“Can’t describe the feeling I’m going to have stepping back onto the island knowing I’m healed, alive & ready for summer,” Bibi shared on X following the announcement. The show is the second date to be announced from his One Life world tour, following a huge homecoming show in London’s Finsbury Park on 6th July. More names are set to be added to both line-up’s in the coming months.
Last year, the Solid Grooves label founder was diagnosed with CNS Lymphoma, a rare form of brain and spinal cancer. Following six months of treatment, he revealed he was in remission at the end of 2023, and made a surprise appearance at Ibiza’s DC-10 to play a set for the first time since his diagnosis.
The One Life tour will be supporting various cancer charities including the Foundation Trust of The Royal Marsden Hospital where Bibi received his treatment. There will be the opportunity to make a donation to the charity when purchasing tickets.
Last month, the Solid Grooves label founder played his first official set since being declared cancer-free. He performed a two-set headline set at Coachella’s brand new Quasar stage, joined on stage by his close friends and family.
Bibi also launched a new clothing line to raise funds for cancer research. The ‘One Life’ collection comprises four T-shirts in total, all sporting huge butterfly designs, as seen on Bibi during the Coachella set. Three include the words “#FKCANCER”.
