Space Ghost will release a new EP, ‘Dream Tool’, later this week via his Peace World Records label. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Prism’ below.
On the latest addition to his discography – which already includes releases for Tartelet Records, Pacific Rhythm and PPU – the Oakland-based DJ and producer infuses his house music with shimmering ambient textures and loopy, downtempo grooves. Slated for release this Friday (20th September), it marks the first release on his new imprint, Peace World Records, founded as a platform for like-minded artists in the Bay Area and beyond.
Wandering basslines and bright piano lines lead the way on opening track, ‘East of the Lake’, released earlier this month, ahead of the spacious sun-soaked rhythms of ‘Dream Tool’ and ‘Prism’. If you weren’t already levitating, B2 ‘Homeworld’ seals the deal with its airy dreamscapes and cosmic, 90s-indebted synth work. Simply gorgeous.
‘Dream Tool’ is out 20th September via Peace World Records. Pre-order the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘Prism’ below.
