Tresor Berlin’s mentorship course on how to run a club returns

Berlin clubbing institution Tresor has relaunched its training and mentorship scheme aimed at supporting new nightclub managers and venue projects.

Running from January until June 2025, the Tresor Foundation's Academy of Subcultural Understanding is available to young people who want to open a venue in the EU, outside of a major city. The five-month programme will be open to eight successful participants who will be given support in their region or country so they can connect with key people in the industry who can help make their ideas a reality.

Successful applicants will also be expected to attend two weeks of in-person training in Berlin – one will be in February and the other in May.

Additionally, participants will be expected to attend two weeks of in-person training in Berlin - one in February 2025 and one in May 2025. Accommodation will be provided to the people taking part, while classes in these weeks will cover issues such as door policy, security, bar management and the development of a club concept. Leading Berlin-based industry figures, as well as staff from Tresor and its associated venues, will run the classes.

The deadline for applications is 21st November. Applicants must be fluent in English, aged between 21 and 35, and have a fleshed-out idea for a club in the EU.
