Premiere: Bell Curve ‘A Second Obelisk Appears’

Bell Curve is set to debut on Moveltraxx later this week with her latest EP, ‘Heart Alarm’. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘A Second Obelisk Appears’ below.

A year on from the release of her ‘Deep End’ LP, the Texas-based DJ, producer and co-founder of the recently ended NYC label Worst Behaviour Recs, is readying a new suite of esoteric, bass bangers devised for the dancefloor. Blending jungle and Chicago footwork influences with the bass-forward club sounds she regularly spins on her monthly Rinse/SWU FM shows, ‘Heart Alarm’ illuminates Bell Curve’s flair for futuristic genre hybrids and cutting-edge sound design.

From the fiery juke rap of the title cut, which features vocals from Tampa rap duo They Hate Change, and sub-heavy grooves of ‘A Second Obelisk Appears’, to the eerie, chiming synths of ‘Just A Lil Bit Of Sweat’, the project is a vibrant celebration of club music’s eccentric margins.

‘Heart Alarm’ is set for release on 8th November in both digital format and as a limited edition vinyl. Pre-order the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘A Second Obelisk Appears’ below.
