Premiere: Badger ‘House Music Is for Nerds (ft. Kyle Kidd)’

Badger is set to drop his debut EP, ‘Let’s ‘Av It Right!’, later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘House Music Is for Nerds’ below.

Crafted from his signature, summer-ready fusion of UK garage, ’90’s house and bass music, the release features four frenzied club tools with bags of personality. ‘Let’s ‘Av It Right!’ is set to land this Friday (11th July) on In The Wild Recordings, following the Bristol DJ and producer’s recent singles ‘Afters’ with Comma Dee and Danny Graft, and ‘Sweet’ featuring Chelcee Grimes.

The EP reaches peak dancefloor magic on ‘House Music Is for Nerds’: a vintage rave chugger built around a synth hook inspired by Inner City’s ‘Good Life’.

“‘House Music Is For Nerds’ is exactly what 2025 needs to keep dancing,” Badger – real name Alex Goodger-Marsh –told DJ Mag ahead of the release. “This high-energy hard house number is a perfect fit for a late-night drive, moving your body with friends, essential fuel for the ultimate workout and everything in between...

“I’ve been running this track in my sets for almost a year now – with crowds around the world erupting as it drops. With success on Instagram and TikTok as well, alongside people DMing me asking for a release date, it was only right that we dropped this banger midsummer as festival season explodes.”

Last month, Badger played at Glastonbury’s Shangri-La on the new Luna stage, as well as making surprise pop-up appearances across the weekend including The Bug in Arcadia. Later this summer, you can catch the Brighton-born  DJ holding down coveted festival slots at Glastonbury, Boomtown, Coachella, Reading & Leeds and more. Check out his full summer dates here
