JakoJako has curated a new compilation for Air Texture, called ‘Hardwired’.
Out now, the 23-track release includes new and exclusive cuts by the likes of Rødhåd, Neon Chambers, Marcel Fengler, Regent, The Field and Measure Divide, among others. JakoJako also contributes two new songs to the release – one a collaboration with Frank Wiedemann, and the other a link-up with Mareena.
‘Hardwired’ draws its conceptual foundation from synthesiser terminology, according to a press release.
Expanding on this, JakoJako said: “A hardwired synth has connections already soldered into the machine – it comes with certain functions without needing to patch cables externally. As a hardware producer, I feel whenever I meet someone who creates music as I do, we have this immediate connection, like a hardwired synthesiser. There's no need for small talk – we can speak about gear.”
All 23 tracks on the release are available digitally, while nine have been selected for the vinyl pressing.

The compilation follows on from JakoJako's recent album for Mute, 'Têt 41'. Last year, she released the EP 'Segmente' through NovaMute.
