Official Statement: Is Tomorrowland Coming to Melbourne and Los Angeles?

At Tomorrowland Belgium 2025, a banner with a map near the CORE stage had clues hidden in plain sightMelbourne and Los Angeles are next. It read: May 2026 (Los Angeles) and November 2026 (Melbourne).

EDMNOMAD‘s Editorial Head reached out to Debby Wilmsen, the official Tomorrowland spokesperson where she clarified the CORE Australia and Los Angeles possibilities of expansion. “When you visited the CORE stage at Tomorrowland Belgium, you may have seen a banner revealing new future locations for CORE. So yes, you did indeed spot a first hint towards Australia and Los Angeles. We are currently exploring the possibility of organizing CORE in Australia and Los Angeles,” she concludes.

It’s a direct acknowledgment of the speculation, and a rare pre-confirmation from the brand. It is likely that the Melbourne and Los Angeles event, then, would be a standalone CORE edition, not a full-scale Tomorrowland festival.

Since 2019, CORE has appeared in Belgium, Tulum, Medellín, Brazil, and Tomorrowland Winter, with Los Angeles and Melbourne now teased for 2026. The timing aligns perfectly with the CORE stage returning to Tomorrowland Brazil from October 10–12, 2025, followed by Medellín in February 2026, as well as the Winter and Belgium editions already confirmed for next year. If true, CORE would touch down on four continents in 2026—a massive expansion for a stage that began deep in the Boom forest. Los Angeles, known for its love of immersive festivals like Lightning in a Bottle, would be a natural fit. Melbourne’s reputation for progressive music and lush parks makes it a strong choice for the jungle stage’s first Australian outing.

No lineups or venues have been revealed yet for CORE in Los Angeles and Melbourne, but in true Tomorrowland fashion, it’s only a matter of time and it’ll be epic.

CORE Goes Global As Tomorrowland Eyes Los Angeles and Melbourne

What began in 2017 as a hidden gem at Tomorrowland has transformed. It’s now a touring global ritual for house and techno heads. CORE’s reputation stems not just from lineups but from the entire sensory world it builds. Wood-carved architecture, projection-mapped faces, and rich sound design. By the time CORE landed in Tulum and Medellín, it had grown into a standalone experience. It attracts thousands without needing the Tomorrowland name. CORE Medellín 2024 sold out its debut in Colombia’s Parque Norte, fusing urban jungle landscapes with acts like BICEP, ANNA, and Agents of Time. The success there made one thing clear—CORE doesn’t just work abroad, it thrives.

If Los Angeles and Melbourne come to life, it would mark a full-circle evolution of the CORE and Tomorrowland brand. Not just a stage, but a traveling concept brand with its own rhythm, fanbase, and schedule. Tomorrowland hasn’t confirmed a full CORE calendar yet, but the dots are connecting. Every international edition so far began as a whisper—just like this one.
