Sydney-based electro engineer Jensen Interceptor has been ferociously drift driving on our radar for a while now. When we caught up with the producer last year just after he released some killer releases on Boysnoize Records and Sheffield’s Central Processing Unit we were frankly blown away by the combination of futuristic and retro influences utilised in making his heady, petrol doused industrial cuts.
Now, he’s returned with a new five-track burst on Melbourne’s Power Station label. A merciless selection of EBM-leaning percussion, krautrock-infused electronics and metallic ferocity.
On the title track, ‘Delayed Response’, the urgent motorik groove is embellished with guest guitarist Kirin J Callinan’s screeching sonics, turning it into a stone cold hammer of a track with wiry freakouts doused all over it.
