"Rolling Papers 2" First Week Numbers Are In & Drake Remains #1 For Third Week

The music charts are being dominated by hip-hop artists right now. The top six albums in America all belong to rappers. 's Scorpion will spend its third week at number one on Billboard's Hot 200 chart. While that news is not shocking whatsoever, it does add another line to Drake's already astounding resume. According to , Scorpion sold 260,000 equivalent album units in the week ending July 19. 29,000 those album sales came from physical copies. While Drizzy enjoys his reign at the top, earned his fifth top ten entry onto the charts.

Rolling Papers 2 sold 80,000 units to grab the number two spot on the charts. It was the only new release to crack the top ten, which is being held down by projects that were released earlier this year. ’s Beerbongs & Bentleys grabbed the number three position with 68,000 units, XXXTentacion’s ? remained at number 4 with 45,000 units, and ’s Invasion Privacy wrapped up the top five with 44,000 units. The fact that hip-hop albums are running the top five spots on the charts is a testament to how strong the culture has become. Juice WLRD’s Goodbye & Good Riddance almost made the top five cut, and landed at number 6 with 41,000 units.
