After only its first day, one man has died at Tomorrowland in Belgium. Reports are coming in that a man fainted by the main stage and was transported to Antwerp University Hospital where he could not be revived, a hospital spokeswoman told AFP on Saturday.
An autopsy is to be carried out Monday.
“It is very unfortunate that such a thing should happen on the very first day the festival,” Debby Wilmsen Tomorrowland spokesperson said, and fered her condolences and sympathy to the deceased’s family and friends.
Wilmsen also mentioned the cause death was not yet identified.
The 27-year-old who died was among four people from the festival admitted Friday for intensive care. One remained in the hospital on Saturday.
