TOKiMONSTA has had a relatively light release year in 2019, only dropping a pair songs on the Young Art Sound II compilation back in May. Now, she’s back with a new single called, “Love That Never.”
Like some her most popular work, “Love That Never” is a chilling, lo-fi instrumental that draws on influences from hip hop and artists like Slow Magic or Odesza in the details.
Of the video/single TOKiMONSTA shared: “Entering a new stage my life, I realized how multifaceted love is. It is this beautiful overwhelming sensation that fills us up, but can also leave us empty and bare. This song is a personal reminder that if we foster our own intangible love, we will always be fulfilled.
“The video is a depiction our solitary journey to that place deep inside us that is a well pure joy.”
TOKiMONSTA has more music in store for 2020. For now, listen to “Love That Never” below.
