A new report by 7 News is claiming that lockout laws have risen by up to a massive 42%. We don’t usually take the high road on much but we, along with the majority Sydney, definitely told you so.
The report goes on to detail ficial crime statistics reporting a heavy increase in violence specifically on Oxford St with more than half the crime occurring on licenced premises.
It’s now been four years since the lock-out laws have come into place and this report seems to detail what we’d all suspected, that they may not have been the right way to go about curbing violence in our nightlife.
