Armin van Buuren is making plans for a 2025 edition of his much-loved A State Of Trance event series in North America.
During the most recent episode of his A State Of Trance radio show – a 10-hour ADE special – the Dutch trance veteran interviewed US-based Insomniac Events CEO Pasquale Rotella. Toward the end of their conversation, van Buuren said: "This is off the record, but my dream is to do what we do in the Netherlands but in your home country... so I think we should do that. The future is bright for A State of Trance and this is gonna be such an epic moment when we work together for the first time in February."
Rotella went on to say that van Buuren had "kinda just leaked" the news, so it seems that fans can likely expect an A State Of Trance event somewhere in the country early next year. The exact date or location for the event are not yet known. You can watch a clip of their conversation below, via EDM Identity.
During the same show, which also featured DJ sets from the likes of Miss Monique, Indira Paganotto and Hannah Laing, the first wave of acts playing the flagship 2025 edition in Rotterdam were also announced. Van Buuren is set to play b2b with ARTBAT, Ben Hemsley and Maddix, in addition to a solo set.
There will also be sets at the event from Ferry Corsten, Agents Of Time, Ben Gold, Nifra, Laura van Dam and Aly & Fila, among others, with more names to be announced in the coming months. You can see the full list of first wave names below.
Last month, van Burren teamed up with Hardwell on the single, 'Follow The Light'. In July, he was joined by Pendulum vocalist Rob Swire at Tomorrowland to perform their song 'Sound Of You'. In May, he released the 21st edition of his long-running 'A State Of Trance' mix series.
