Alexander Ridha, aka Boys Noize, has released LVLY, a brand new EP with remixes from Héctor Oaks and MarcelDune.
Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, Boys Noize has been making waves in dance music for many years. His remixes are a who’s who of electronic and popular music, including David Lynch, N.E.R.D, Depeche Mode, Snoop Dogg, Daft Punk, Justice, and the Chemical Brothers.
The now Berlin-based DJ and producer has continued, for over a decade, with his bold and avant-garde approach to sound, a distinctive touch he also brings to his new EP 4-track EP LVLY.
Released today on RAW, the artist booking agency, label and events, and creative agency, Boys Noize, brings on board Héctor Oaks and MarcelDune for remix duties. Héctor Oaks, who remixes the first track on the EP ‘SVNDY,’ is one of Spain’s most loved techno exports, celebrated for his raw, energetic sets and distinctive sound, plus his deep connection to vinyl records and often performs all-vinyl sets. MarcelDune remixes the title track (LVLY). The DJ and producer hails from Athens and has a fearless dedication is pushing the limits of dance music and a fascination with modulation synths.
The title track, LVLY, is cut to a mysterious figure and an even more mysterious message ‘PAY TRIBUTE TO THE ALGORITHM GOD‘ in the video. Boys Noise throws out a pulsating techno track with plenty of electro influence. At 150bpm it’s in keeping with the general rise in BPMs we’ve seen over recent years and leans into hard techno. The main motive is a syncopated layered synth riff with modular beeps filtered underneath, layered on top of percussive elements that remind us of Breathe by The Prodigy. Expect to hear LVLY at many a set this summer.
