BREAKING: The First Ever Video Game x EDM Festival Is Officially Cancelled

Last Friday, an initial report by ESPN claimed that Metarama Gaming + Music Festival, set to take place over October 19th and 20th in Las Vegas, had been abruptly canceled. The festival was dark on social media and had not made any comment on the cancellation at the time.

Now, a statement on the website’s main page has confirmed the news.

“Despite incredible support and feedback surrounding this first--its-kind festival concept and extensive preparation to deliver an unbelievable fan experience, we regret to announce that Metarama Gaming + Music Festival has been cancelled.

100% your purchase will be refunded to the original payment source on, or before, September 6th. Look for “FGT*METARAMA” on your bank statement. Please allow 7 – 10 days for the funds to be returned to the account.”

Metarama was to be headed up by gamer/livestreamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Marshmello, with other superstars on the bill including Snoop Dogg, Logic and Alan Walker. It was produced by C3 Presents, the team behind Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits Music Festival, in partnership with Scott London and Seth Schorr Esports Hospitality Concepts.
