BRUX releases ‘CA$HED UP’ EP with DJ ADHD, Surya Sen, Baauer: Listen

BRUX's 'CA$HED UP', her debut EP for LuckyMe, is out now. Listen to it below.

The New York-based Australian producer's four-track EP, out now, pulls in house, UK bass, techno, post-dubstep, Jersey club and breaks influences, with collaborators in Baauer, DJ ADHD and Surya Sen. The title track, shared in March, is "fuelled by the aggressions of New York City life", she said at the time.

"I moved to New York City from Sydney, Australia in 2021 and living here amongst the chaos has definitely peeled back new layers in me", BRUX said in a press statement. "I notice myself wanting to make art that is bold and thought-provoking. With the 'CA$HED UP' EP, the music aims to command attention, along with the art direction too. The cover art features a kids' toy ATM I found online that encapsulates perfectly my perspective of NYC, ie. people living urgent, serious, demanding lifestyles here and for what? Where's the playfulness? The fun? I had to explore the lighter side of the chaos that is New York..."

BRUX has previously self-released the 'SANDWICHES' edit, 'U KNOW' single and a club rework of the 'Independent Woman' instrumental version.
