Charli xcx is producing and starring in a new film by director Takashi Miike.
The UK pop star's new production company, Studio365, will oversee the film. Not much else is known about the prolific horror director's next project, aside from the screenplay being handled by writer Ross Evans, Variety reports. Miike is perhaps best known for his 1999 cult classic film Audition.
Charli xcx is also set to star in and produce another Studio365 film, a mockumentary titled The Moment, alongside Rosanna Arquette, Alexander Skarsgård and Jamie Demetrio. A24 will distribute the film, which will feature a score by collaborator A.G. Cook.
This June, Charli xcx will be hosting a one-day Party Girl festival as part of the new east London LIDO festival. She's invited Gesaffelstein, Bladee, The Dare, 070 Shake, Kelly Lee Owens, A. G. Cook and more to play the 14th June event at Victoria Park.
In March, Charli xcx brought home five BRIT Awards, including Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Best Dance Act.
