Clairo and SG lewis have joined forces on a summery new cut, ‘Better’.
Pulsing synths, a disco-centric instrumental structure and some familiar vocals all combine to create a dream-worthy collaboration from the two up-and-coming artists, who have been getting a whole lot attention late.
Speaking on the collab, SG says “the process was so natural, I kept the beat unquantized from the jam as I felt like it gave the record an old disco feel,” Similarly, Clairo has all praise for SG, describing him as “one the most talented producers I know… We met the same day that we made this song, and just clicked instantly. “Better” is one the first real steps I’ve made into Pop music and this collab feels like a match made in heaven!”
This song comes at a pivotal time for both artists, who have been keeping themselves very busy late. Clairo only recently dropped her debut EP diary 001 and is dangerously close to selling her entire US tour out, with SG also releasing the first a 3-part album series, Dusk, Dark, Dawn.
