Coco Em has shared a new track, 'Kwa Raha Zangu'.
Out now via InFiné, the Nairobi-based producer's latest single was initially intended to be a club anthem, but evolved to become a more introspective cut over the course of its making. It was written after a night at Nairobi club Mist, and is inspired by the Congonese genre of Lingala music.
It addresses themes of personal choice and emotional release, and, in Coco Em's words, serves as a reminder that "we hold the keys to free ourselves and each other".
The track comes backed with a remix by the producer Emile Papandréou, and you can both listen to both that version and the original track below.
