A recent report from Dutch publication has instilled hope for a Tomorrowland 2019 performance from Swedish House Mafia. According to Telegraaf, Steve Angello said that the group will perform at the festival next year “by any means necessary.”
Contrary to reports from other English-speaking publications, this is not a confirmation a booking or performance at Tomorrowland next year. In Dutch, it translates more closely to “if it’s up to us.”
Rumors a Swedish House Mafia performance next year this past weekend when Axwell joined Sebastian Ingrosso for his solo set at the Freedom stage and told the crowd, “This is the last time we see Tomorrowland for a while.”
The popular interpretation was that “we” referred to Axwell Λ Ingrosso and they’d return as Swedish House Mafia.
Axwell Λ Ingrosso have already one hundred percent confirmed that there will be a Swedish House Mafia show in New York in 2019, and another time saying, “It’s happening, obviously.”
Whether their rumored comeback world tour routes through Tomorrowland is a question that still needs to be answered, but it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting that answer today.
