Don Diablo has dropped a new single, ‘Freek Like Me’, on his HEXAGON imprint. Listen below.
The release marks the 10-year anniversary of the label and community platform, which has been at the forefront of the future house movement since 2015. Pairing piano synths with a punchy club beat, ‘Freek Like Me’ kicks off what the Dutch DJ and producer has described as “HEXAGON 2.0”, which constitutes a refined vision for the label and a focus on quality over quantity.
Speaking on the milestone, Don Diablo shared: “What started as a remix that hit number one on Beatport turned into something way bigger than I ever imagined. Over the past ten years, HEXAGON has grown into a global platform - not just a label but a movement, a family, and a launchpad for new talent.”
“But as we celebrate... it’s also time for a reset,” he continued. “We’re entering a new era where quality needs to win over quantity. ‘Freek Like Me’ marks the start of HEXAGON 2.0 – a new chapter where every release is more intentional, more meaningful, and designed to truly connect with people, not just feed the algorithms.”
