Don Diablo’s music is instantly recognizable from the synths and vibe he brings to his production, and its earned him equal parts praise and criticism. Consistency from an artist can be a strength, but it turns into a weakness when that consistency turns into staleness.
Thankfully, his new song “Survive” with Emeli Sandé & Gucci Mane is an entirely new side to the producer that we’re absolutely vibing with. It’s a subdued house beat carried by Sandé’s and Gucci’s vocals, creating a radio-friendly vibe that still appeals to the true EDM-heads in his fanbase.
We can’t say that this was a collaboration we were particularly looking forward to this year, but now that it’s here, it’s definitely going to be on repeat. Check out “Survive” below.
