As sirens sound over booming drums, a sense doom fills Downlink’s new track. With elements hardstyle and riddim in the drop, it’s clear that the threat is imminent. The sound design digs deep into the darker crevices the human psyche and drums up visions the inevitable apocalypse. Not a track for the easily frightened but definitely a track for headbangers with an affinity for the darker side EDM, “Threat” is as visceral as it is visual.
