Whats up dance music fans!? We hope you're having an awesome day and enjoying the sunshine as we are cresting towards the end Summer. Today we're back in the game with yet another repeat artist the week. Booyah Riot has been super-impressive since their first appearance on our Artist the Week.
Their newest record, “Like Summer” is everything you would expect in an absolute killer Summer record. This track kind detes from their normal magic potion hard hitting beats and incredible style club smashers. The lyrics really pull everything together and demonstrates that Booyah Riot is more than just a banger making production machine, but also can produce for the main stream radio plays.
The triple threat artists that make up Booyah Riot are, Jovany “Gio” Black, Mitchell “Kong” Domenech, and Lewis “Wilemind” Faredakis, who are melded by their production talents, and their positive attitudes.
If you missed them on our first Artist the Week go around, we'll dive into who Booyah Riot is, and what they standfor. Their productions find their foundations in organic diablo-style piano chord progressions, clever vocal manipulations, and heavy side chaining which creates a very clear electronic Miami vibe.
One their successful productions, amassing over 70,000 plays on Soundcloud was their up-temp remix Macy Gray's early 2000's hit, “I Try” which can be found below. The track features their signature organic chord progressions and lightheartedness that can be found in just about all their tracks.
Thanks so much for tuning into yet another Artist the Week selection. Booyah Riot will be a repeat Artist the Week for years to come as their productions just keep getting better and better. It's been a pleasure sharing their incredible chunes' with you.
Until next time Sauce fans!
