Contemporary Irish electronic music is being highlighted in a new compilation, which lands on 2nd July.
Curated by Dublin-based DJ, producer and Out of Space radio host Efa O’Neill, the 21-track release for Air Texture's location-focused series brings together an eclectic mix of sounds that promises "a diverse yet cohesive snapshot of the electronic soundscape across Ireland". Tracks on the release come from the likes of Lighght, Lúnasa, Optimist, Tr One, Polyp and Olive Hatake.
"Rather than defining a specific theme or genre, I invited each contributor to submit music that felt true to where they were creatively," wrote O'Neill in the accompanying press text. "The result is a diverse yet cohesive snapshot of the electronic soundscape across Ireland - featuring voices from beyond the capital, reaching into all corners of the country."
Proceeds from the release will support BirdWatch Ireland’s Marine Conservation efforts.

Earlier this month, Bergsonist turned in a compilation for Air Texture that honed in on the electronic music scene of Morocco and donated profits from the release to several causes.
In April, Ciel also curated an Air Texture compilation spotlighting electronic music talent in Toronto.
Last year, Air Texture released a compilation spotlight femme and non-binary artists working within electronic music, featuring music by Introspekt, Bored Lord and more.
