Emerald has just launched her own record label, Precious Stones.
Alongside the announcement, Emerald has also shared news of the label’s first release, the ‘Limerence’ EP, a solo release by the producer and DJ herself.
The ‘Limerence’ EP arrives 1st August and is now available to pre-order via the Precious Stones Bandcamp page. Ahead of the release, lead single ‘Attraction’ can be streamed below.
In addition to ‘Attraction’, the EP will include three other tracks — ‘Obsession’ featuring Claus Fuss, ‘Frustration’, ‘Resolution’ — which combine as an exploration of “the four stages of obsessive infatuation”.
In a press statement, Emerald said: “Precious Stones is my platform for total creative autonomy. It’s about storytelling through music, capturing the sounds I’m into at the moment I feel them without waiting. To me, that means pure self-expression, sonically, visually, and viscerally. Precious Stones is also about championing producers who share this ethos - those who create with instinct, passion and a fearless commitment to their sound. I’ve been obsessed with club music for as long as I can remember, and this label lets me shape it on my own terms, including how and when I use my own voice as both a vocalist and producer.”
To celebrate the new label, Emerald, who also hosted last year’s DJ Mag Best Of British Awards, is hosting a launch party on 30th April at All My Friends.
