ëmmë Drops New Song, "Don't Make Me"

What happens when pop vocals mix with big, stadium-sized drops? You get artists like GRYFFIN, Illenium, and… ëmmë. Though undoubtedly a much smaller name than the two aforementioned, ëmmë’s sound matches up in size and stature.

The new single “Don’t Make Me” pulses with beautifully composed horns and piano notes cast against a delightful melody and vocals from Maddy Rowe. It’s about a familiar subject: relationships, love, lost and unrequited or whatever else. At the same time, it’s about self-control and learning how to move on or move past heartbreak. ëmmë says it best himself —

“‘Don’t Make Me’ is an anthem for everyone that wants something they can’t have – something lost, in the past, or unattainable. I wanted to write about that moment when you’ve been with someone but life has moved on, and no matter how much you want to be back with them, you just can’t. The pain that thinking about them causes and the longing that you just can’t satisfy. I think we can all relate to this in some form.”

2019 may already be halfway over, but there’s still more to come from ëmmë. Stay tuned, and listen to “Don’t Make Me” below!
