FKA twigs has announced the details of her new album, 'EUSEXUA', alongside the release of its title track and accompanying video. Watch it below.
The album will be released on 24th January via twigs' long-time label home of Young Recordings. 'EUSEXUA' takes its name from a word that twigs created, taking inspiration from late nights at techno clubs in Prague while she was in the city shooting scenes for the film The Crow. "Eusexua is a state of being," she said in a press statement. "A feeling of momentary transcendence often evoked by music, art, sex and unity."
She added: "Eusexua can be followed by a state of bliss and feelings of limitless possibility."
You can watch a video for the track 'EUSEXUA', directed by filmmaker Jordan Hemingway, or stream the single below.
This is twigs' third studio album, following 2014's 'LP1' and 2019's 'MAGDALENE'. In January 2022, the artist released the collaboration-heavy 'CAPRISONGS' mixtape. Earlier this year, she linked up with Two Shell on the single, 'Talk To Me'.
Last month, twigs played 'EUSEXUA' in full for a specially invited audience at a small album listening party in New York.
