Funk Tribu launches TRIBE label with new single, ‘Azul’: Listen

Funk Tribu is launching a new label called TRIBE with a track called 'Azul'. Listen to the inaugural single below.

The Colombia-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer follows up his debut album, 'Against All Odds' from October 2024, with the new platform and single, which he wrote in the days leading up to his Boiler Room debut last autumn, to start his next era.

"It was meant as a special intro for Boiler Room, but it became something way bigger", Funk Tribu said in a press statement. "It’s one of the most asked-about tracks I’ve ever played. People really connected with it... I think... because it’s personal and honest — it came from a place of real emotion. That sincerity, I believe, is what listeners feel when they hear it. It becomes their story too."

TRIBE is intended to be a multidisciplinary platform with a "[focus] on fresh, boundary-free sound", according to the press release. "The goal is to give artists complete musical and creative freedom. We want to provide a platform that’s bold, inclusive and emotionally driven."

The first TRIBE event is set for 6th September in Bogotá with Eduardo, plus another October date planned for ADE. Stay up to date with upcoming releases and events via TRIBE's Instagram.
