Looking back on 2019, it’s actually impossibly hard to understand just how much music GRiZ has really put out. He dropped his sixth studio album, Ride Waves, at the beginning the year, and just dropped his fourth Bangers EP; all this on top a international headlining tour. He’s a mad man.
But yes, Bangers4].Zip just dropped today with three fresh new tunes: a funky house tune, a short dubstep banger, and THAT ID with the drumline from Red Rocks. No two songs are alike on this release, something we’ve come to expect from the Bangers series.
Probably the most anticipated ID from this collection is “Tiger Kingdom Space Camp,” the song that the drumline came out for at GRiZ’s Red Rocks show earlier this year. The combination brass and percussion with bass notes is absolutely addictive, and no one can do it better than him.

As the year-end approaches, GRiZ gears up for his fan-favorite holiday event GRiZMAS, returning for back-to-back sold-out shows on Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14 at the Masonic Temple in Detroit for the 6th year. On Friday night, he’ll play a throwback ‘10-’17 set, whereas Saturday night sees him perform a set inside The Imaginarium. In advance the weekend, he’ll roll-out his ‘12 Days GRiZMAS’ event series, bringing the community Detroit together for concerts, activities, and volunteerism all in the name charity. 100% the proceeds from GRiZMAS will benefit Seven Mile, a nonprit organization that raises awareness and funds for music, arts and coding programs for Detroit’s inner-city youth.
