Hakkasan Nightclub in Las Vegas has a long history providing their guests with a unique and top--the-line nightclub experience. Now, global hospitality leader Hakkasan Group (HKG) has raised the bar again with an unrivaled, technology driven, artistic transformation their renowned flagship Hakkasan Nightclub’s ceiling in the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino slated to be completed this Summer.
The project was spearheaded by Hakkasan Group Executive Vice President Entertainment, James Algate, and required an international team across different industries and expertise to fulfill his vision. Hakkasan and Algate began working with award-winning German-based interactive art and design firm, WHITEvoid, on the project in 2018. Well-known for their light art and kinetic audiovisual installations and sculptures, WHITEvoid has been seen at a multitude events around the world, such as IFA, Milan Design Week, Bright Brussels Festival, Messe Basel and more.
Once complete, the structure will enhance the design the venue and produce unique and incomparable show experiences for audiences every night, bringing Hakkasan’s legendary entertainment to a new and hitherto unreached level. To achieve the cutting-edge kinetic light art ceiling vision, a new approach to bringing the artistic challenge to life was required. One innovation utilizes a newly developed 3D-shape technology to meet the demanding framework requirements for the elaborate structure and also support the necessary high energy movement demands required throughout its deployment. A customized stware solution was built from the ground up to accurately fulfill the ambitious visual design movements as well as synchronize and compliment the musical landscape coming from the artists. Finally, state the art lighting technology and hardware mechanisms come together to complete the ambitious structure that will be the first its kind.
All this is to say, in layman’s terms, it’s going to look really, really cool.

Hakkasan Group, course, is no stranger to creating awe-inspiring installations in their nightclubs. OMNIA Nightclub is a Hakkasan Group property and is perhaps the most well-known example for their high-tech kinetic chandelier that illuminates the main room.
With names like Calvin Harris, Tiësto, Zedd, Martin Garrix and Steve Aoki, as well as up-and-coming stars Illenium, Loud Luxury, and many more coming to Hakkasan in 2019, the use this new ceiling attraction will make the experience that much better.
