james K has announced a new album. 'Friend' will be released on 5th September via the AD93 label. You can watch the video for the first single, 'Play', below.
The 13-track record follows on from the artist's 2024 singles 'Hypersoft Lovejinx Junkdream’ and ’Blinkmoth (July Mix)’, both of which were also released on AD93 and feature on the new album. The latter appeared in DJ Mag's Top Tracks of 2024. This will be james K's first full length release since 2022's 'Random Girl'.
Spanning 13 tracks, K's third LP nods to trip-hop, drum & bass and shoegaze, and features collaborations with Priori, Ben Bondy and Special Guest DJ.
In the coming months the US artist will perform at a number of events in Europe and North America. These include Solstice Preview at Temppeliaukio Church, Helsinki, Finland (11/6), Waking Life, Portugal (18/6), Philadelphia's Making Time (21/9), III Points Miami (17/10), and Union Chapel in London as part of Pitchfork Music Festival (5/11).
