Johnny Depp Surprises San Diego Comic-Con In Full "Fantastic Beasts" Costume

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Grindelwald is set to continue the story Newt Scamander. The second film in what will be a five-film event will bring several popular characters from the Harry Potter movies into the light. Jude Law will be making his entrance into the series as a young Dumbledore, while Johnny Depp will return for a much bigger role as the main villain Grindelwald. The story is set seventy years before the events in the Harry Potter films, and an American school witchcraft and wizardry will come into play.

Johnny Depp surprised fans in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday when he showed up dressed in full costume. Equip with a wand, Depp took to the stage in character and delivered a maniacal yet calculated speech about how wizards need to be in power. A trailer for the film was also released at Comic-Con, and the visuals look stunning. While I'm still not sold on Jude Law as Dumbledore, the rest the cast looks amazing. Zoë Kravitz is stunning as Leta Lestrange, the love interest  Scamander whose last name may hint at some treachery in the near future. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Grindelwald hits theaters on November 16, 2018.
