Kamma launches Dance II Care fundraising party series at Amsterdam’s Doka

Amsterdam-based DJ Kamma is set to launch her new fundraising party series Dance II Care at Amsterdam club Doka.

The project has come about after Kamma spent a number of years touring the world as a DJ while completing her medical studies. Profits from the party series will go towards Doctors Without Borders, the charity which provides independent, life-saving medical aid in locations around the world.

In a statement, Kamma said: "Dance II Care was born from the idea that the collective energy on the dancefloor can extend beyond the night, turning music and connection into something tangible: support for those who need it most."

Expanding on this in an interview with Doka – the venue located in Amsterdam's Volkshotel – Kamma said: "Working with ill patients constantly put my own worries into perspective. Seeing people fight for their health and witnessing how fragile life can be constantly kept me grounded. At the same time, DJing became more than ever a place of freedom—a space where I could let go and fully embrace each moment. I think in a way, music and medicine became my counterbalance—one grounding me in reality, the other allowing me to transcend it. They don’t just complement each other; they complete me."

The project will consists of three shows at Doka over the course of this month, in addition to parties at London's Corsica Studios, Paris' Sacré and Brussels' Illegaal.

For the Amsterdam events on 7th, 14th and 21st March, Kamma will be joined by Sedef Adasï, DJ Masda and her own parents, Dr. Tiong and DJ Sylvia. Find out more below.
