Kenya Grace has shared a new standalone single, called 'Mr Cool'.
Out now, the track is "about hookup culture and specifically a guy who is a player," Grace said in a statement.
She continued: "It's about how this kind of behaviour is looked up to in society, but I think it must be lonely never making any substantial connection. It's an upbeat dance song representing the party lifestyle, but the lyrics speak about the darker side of this way of living."
'Mr Cool' arrives just over a year on from the release of Grace's debut EP, 'The After Taste', and also off the back of her breakout hit 'Strangers', which spent three weeks at the top of the UK's official singles chart. Gace won in the Breakthrough MC/Vocalist category at DJ Mag's Best Of British Awards in 2023.
Grace's new single, which is the first taste of new music to come later this year, draws on soft drum & bass beats, blending them with her vocals. Listen to it below.
