Kode9 & Burial have mixed the final FabricLive compilation, marking the end of an era of albums that started 17 years ago.
No strangers to collaborating, the icons of bass-fuelled beats, respectively head of the rightly-lauded Hyperdub label and its first signee— Britain's elusive master of spooky post-garage— were confirmed for the last instalment today, which will arrive on 28th September.
The tracklist will not be publicised prior to arrival, and the release will be available on CD, digital and on unmixed vinyl. This will be the 100th FabricLive mix, which began with James Lavelle in December 2001. Since then it has featured luminaries like Four Tet, Daphni, Ramadanman, Goldie, Jackmaster, DJ Craze, Midland (one of our favourite compilations of last year), the late Marcus Intalex and, most recently, DJ Q.
Time will also be called on the sister fabric series upon its centenary release, although it is yet to be confirmed who will be given the honour. The legendary Sasha, who recently fronted our UK magazine, was behind the 99th edition. Take a look at 10 moments that defined fabric here.
