KUKII, fka Lafawndah, has shared her debut single and video.
The Paris-raised artist — who is of Iranian, Egyptian and English descent — will release her debut EP as KUKII on 20th February.
The project, a collaboration with artists Cecile Believe, Happa and Nightfeelings, is described as "the embodiment of an over-the-top new project inspired by her Egyptian heritage". She officially adopted the KUKII moniker back in June.
'Rare Baby' is the first taste of the EP and is accompanied by a video filmed in Cairo. A second single is due for release on 6th January.
"Rare Baby encompasses the spirit of Kill Bill, transported into an Egyptian setting. Meet KUKII who, accompanied by her collective of like-minded renegade girlfriends, tears up the streets of Cairo in the search for her long-lost aunt," reads the description in a press release.
