Laurent Garnier has been enlisted for a special edition of the 'fabric Presents' mix compilation series, which will celebrate the iconic London club's 25th anniversary.
Set for release digitally and on CD on Friday, 29th November, the compilation has been a year in the making, according to fabric. Standalone cuts from the set will also be issued in a special deluxe vinyl release, with the full tracklist for the mix yet to be revealed.
In a statement, fabric said: "After 20-plus years of choosing artists to record mixes for our original fabric and FABRICLIVE series, up to the current 'fabric presents', we drew up a shortlist of acts we all admire who had not yet recorded a mix for us.
"This person's career had to match the club's lifespan and the musical generational changes we've all been through to join us in our 25-year series. Laurent stood out, having first played in 2002 and always returned when he had the chance to play for us."
The release will also take in a special four-track EP by Garnier, and will be launched at the club with a party on Saturday, 7th December featuring sets from the French DJ, in addition to Ron Trent, Works Of Intent, Serenada and more.
Garnier will play in the club's second room at the party and said in a statement: "When I (first) saw Room 2 with its open DJ booth, I thought this is definitely for me. It's a small room and a really nice booth close to the crowd. I'm a dancer so I like to be involved, together with the people."
Garnier's 'fabric Presents' follows recent entries in the series by Rødhåd, Confidence Man and The Streets.
Last year, Garnier was the subject of a documentary, Off the Record, celebrating his career in dance music.
