Mallrat is swiftly becoming everyone’s favourite artist, and it makes a lot sense. The Brisbane born producer/songwriter has crafted a sound that is unlike anything else coming out right now, blending indie-pop with hip-hop all wrapped up with clear electronic gestures.
The 19-year-old artist astounded us with her debut project back in 2016 and she’s done it once again with In The Sky. The 5-tracker is home to popular singles such as UFO ft. Allday and Better, and introduces a handful impressive new tracks, Groceries, Texas and Make Time.
From start to finish, In The Sky is a daydream listen, with each track showcasing luscious production, catchy hooks and – as per usual – very impressive lyricism.
