Mike Posner isn’t gonna let a rattlesnake get in the way his walk across America. At mile 1632/2800, however, he almost took his final steps.
Just days ago, the producer was hospitalized for a bite that could have cost him his life. Thankfully, he was airlifted to a Colorado hospital in time and was able to be treated before the venom took over.
His shares that followed on Twitter were not only insightful on the whole situation, but inspiring giving his spirits. He doesn’t want any sympathy, but just encouragement to keep going!
Posner explained:
I had just crushed 16 miles and was going for eight more when I got bit by a baby rattlesnake! That venom is no joke! I got to the hospital and got anti-venom in time. I’ll be here in the hospital] a few days and will not be able to walk for several weeks but I’ll be] enjoying the AC and the nice bed, haven’t had those in awhile.
He added:
I knew walking across America was going to be dangerous. I knew I could die doing it. I still might. So don’t feel sorry for me. I’m proud I’m in this hospital after chasing my dream and not sitting on the couch watching Netflix. I’m proud this pain.

The only time I cried this whole process was when I thought about all these INCREDIBLE, SELFLESS, PROFESSIONAL people in the hospital, and EMS, and Whitney/Cassie at La Junta, and my ICU family. pic.twitter.com/lKplwIokgB

Mike Posner has legitimately been walking across America since mid-April, releasing new music along the way. At mile 1632/2800, he had a near death experience getting bit by a rattlesnake and is now rehabbing to get back to his walk.
