A new documentary about Avicii is set to premiere at this year's Tribeca Film Festival.
Organisers of the New York-based film festival revealed the list of films set to debut at the event this year, with I'm Tim, directed by Henrik Burman, featuring among them. Clocking in at just over two hours, it takes in interviews with David Guetta, Nile Rodgers and Coldplay's Chris Martin, among others, while tracing the story of Avicii's life and his rise to stardom.
Also featuring unseen photographs of a young Avicii, the film seeks to explore his early life and the events that led up to it being cut short by his tragic suicide in 2018 at the age of 28.
"Before there was Avicii, there was just Tim," the film's synopsis reads. "For the first time through his own words, witness the journey of a shy but prodigious musical talent who would soon become one of the defining artists of his generation."

Earlier this month, Avicii's final concert in his native Sweden was screened in Stockholm. Earlier this year, a new Avicii podcast “from fans, for fans” was launched.
