New York club Paragon closing down: “We simply cannot afford the financial reality of this industry”

New York nightclub Paragon is closing down. The announcement was made yesterday, Wednesday 22nd January.

A post on social media explained that the venue's operators "simply cannot afford the financial reality of this industry in 2025." The 5,000 square-foot, multi-tiered space is expected to shut in April

"It is with deep sadness that today we must deliver the message of Paragon’s conclusion," the statement read, before thanking "supporters for the memories and friendships". It also noted the team, made up of "some of the world's best people", "often went far beyond their job descriptions to make dreams come true."

"As of today, the business is for sale. If anyone is interested in purchasing (or investing) feel free to reach out," the post continued. The club's sound system is also available to buy.

At the time of writing, forthcoming events featuring artists such as Special Request, Aurora Halal, Eli Escobar, SoFTT, and UNiiQU3 are still scheduled to go ahead.

The club opened around back in 2022, with Bossa Nova Civic Club owner John Barclay at the helm.
