Beirut-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer Nur Jaber has unveiled her final EP under the techno alias she has adopted for the past decade.
'End Of An Era (Nihayet Haqbah)' takes in four tracks by the artist and is dedicated to her Lebanese heritage. The EP touches on her personal journey with her background, her concern for the dehumanisation of Arabic people, and the conflicts in Lebanon that continue to destabilise the country.
Announcing the EP, Jaber said: "I dedicate this EP to the people of Lebanon. We are more than numbers and casualties; we are artistic, creative, and rooted in a culture that is rich and mystical. As part of the world feels like it's turning against us during this devastating time, brainwashing the masses, I proudly say I am Lebanese and I stand with my brothers and sisters. We will not be erased, we will not be victimised and we will not be forgotten."
Details on Jaber's next moves are currently under wraps, but will mark a creative and artistic evolution for her, a press release said. "The time has come to let her go as I welcome renewed energy and growth as an artist," she added of the decision to shed her current moniker.

In 2022, we premiered Jaber's track 'Dance Dance (With The Morning Light)'.
A number of Beirut music and cultural organisations are currently taking in emergency aid donations and distributing them locally amid Israel's recent, heightened attacks on Lebanon.
