Peggy Gou has released her debut album via XL Recordings. You can listen to it below.
Out today, ‘I Hear You’ includes her current Salvador Dali-inspired single 'Lobster Telephone' — described in a press release as "a perfect distillation of the kind of balmy, technicolour house music that Gou is globally renowned for" — and her 2023 smash-hit '(It Goes Like) Nanana'.
The LP also contains her Lenny Kravitz collaboration 'I Believe in Love Again', and first single '1+1=11', which was accompanied by an Olafur Eliasson-directed music video.
“'I Hear You' is more than just my debut album. It embodies countless hours of dedication in my journey to create something timeless, and is a testament to the power of listening, to ourselves and to each other," she said.
Gou will be appearing at a number of summer festivals this year, including Glastonbury and Lowlands. She will also be playing her biggest headline show to date at London’s Gunnersbury Park on 17th August.
In May, the first volume of 'Gudu & Friends', a compilation series from Gou's Gudu Records, was announced.
Gou was also voted the World’s No.1 House DJ as part of DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs 2023 poll, coming in at No.9 in the overall list.
