A petition has been created to erect a statue of the late Keith Flint in The Prodigy's hometown of Braintree in Essex, England.
Flint performed a serious roll in establishing dance music’s credibility within the mainstream for his work with The Prodigy with smash hits comparable to 'Firestarter' and 'Breathe' - each of which topped the UK singles chart in 1996.
The UK band's iconic frontman was discovered lifeless from an obvious suicide at his house in Dunmow, Essex, on the morning of March four. He was 49 years outdated.
According to the petition - which has already amassed over four,000 signatures - the city of Braintree needs the chance "to pay homage and honour its most well-known son" and consider a Keith Flint statue will assist "encourage the individuals to comply with their goals."
"The plan might be when it reaches a monumental quantity of signatures to current it to the council and see what they possibly capable of talk about/contribute," writes the petition's creator Saphya Gower. "It’s early days however hopefully the end result would be the proper one. My dad and mom era had the Beatles and The Rolling Stones. My era had The Prodigy."
