Fans had been thrown for a loop this week when the headlines broke — 21 Savage Arrested by ICE, May Be Deported.
The so-thought Atlanta rapper was focused by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and brought into custody earlier this week. 21 Savage, actual title Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, is definitely a U.Okay. citizen in response to ICE. He has been staying within the states on a visa that expired again in 2005.

21 Savage isn't being deported with no battle. A petition began up by Black Lives Matter organizers seeks to maintain 21 Savage in his dwelling, right here within the U.S.
“The circumstances Mr. Abraham-Joseph’s detention stand as a testomony to the constant and traditionally under-reported harassment and focusing on Black immigrants,” the petition reads. “The US’ violent historical past criminalizing Blackness intersects with its lethal legacy detaining and deporting Black and Brown immigrants.”
So far, the petition has acquired 189,054 200,000 signatures.
