Phase Pro adds touchscreens, enhanced precision and longer battery life to the DVS standard

Phase — the company behind the DVS remote that’s become an industry standard for timecode DJs — has announced a flagship new product called Phase Pro.

The new wireless remotes now feature built-in OLED touchscreens that can display everything from MIDI controls for your DJ software like FX amount and stem selection, status like battery level, or even personal branding, logos or text. DJs can swipe between ‘modules’ to display different information during their sets.

The Pro units also have an extended battery life, with up to 15 hours of operating time with a 20% bigger battery. The extra power also includes when the OLED screens are active, compared to 10 hours on the previous Phase version. The company has also revamped the wireless tech that communicates with your DJ software, with new radio antennas offering improved performance and a Machine-learning-powered optimisation to keep your connection stable “even in high-interference environments”.

Elsewhere, Phase has collaborated directly with Serato DJ Pro for advanced HID integrations. Similar integrations with Traktor, Algoriddim djay, and VirtualDJ are said to be coming in the future. Phase has also updated the materials used for longer-lasting use on the road, and there’s also an additional rotary sensor for extra sensitivity.

Phase Pro is coming Spring 2025 and are estimated to cost $800 for a pair, with a final price being announced closer to release. You can find out more on the Phase website.
